Butterflies and many moths are obviously beautiful, and I love painting them. As I researched these winged lovelies, I also found that caterpillars are incredibly intriguing and varied in pattern, color, and form. They captivated me, and I decided to feature them as well. It gave me the perfect additional element to use as a border for the field of butterflies and moths. These are all real creatures - I didn't make up a single one.
