I chose some of my favorite tropical butterflies for this pastel painting. I pored through many books of beautiful butterflies to find which ones I most wanted to include. A few I’ve been able to see live in butterfly house exhibits, but most I’ve only seen in pictures.  However, I was lucky enough to encounter the wonderful blue morpho butterfly in person in the Amazon jungle.
